It bugs me to see how most online marketers still don’t seem to have discovered the YouTube secrets that I use to grow my email list. On one of my YouTube channels I’m getting over 120’000 new views every month and around 30 new subscribers for my email list every day. And that’s all from free traffic. In fact, I’ve never spent a single buck for advertisement or promotion. Yet, my email list is growing consistently and money is coming in every day. In this article I’m going to share my proven YouTube secrets and show you what you have to do in order to turn YouTube into an automated lead generation machine.
YouTube For Lead Generation
1) Publish High Quality Content 1-5 Times Per Week
Forget about finding a quick fix for your lead generation. Getting free traffic on YouTube won’t cost you a penny, but you need to publish fresh, high quality content on a weekly basis. For my music business I publish 3-6 new instrumentals every week. For my self-actualization blog I publish around 4 new video blogs every month (I’ll have to step this up in the future). The bottom line is: YouTube is a search engine just like Google. In fact, it belongs to Google and it’s the second most used search engine on the internet. Most online marketers are still focusing mainly on getting free traffic from Google. I don’t know a lot of online marketers that are actually getting a lot of views and traffic on YouTube. They like to talk about it, yet when you take a close look, their results are sobering. If you want to get up to 30 new YouTube opt-in’s every day and 500 new subscribers every month, you have to get into the habit of publishing one to five videos every week. Like every search engine, YouTube loves content. Content is king. On YouTube, consistent high quality videos are king.
2) Use Annotations For Your YouTube Opt-in Call To Action
One of my number one YouTube secrets is to use annotations for my call to action. On every video that I upload, I’ll put an annotation with some call for action copy. For example: “Download 100 FREE instrumentals incl. license. Click on link in the description!”. Use annotations for your opt-in bribe. Put an annotation on every video. At the very top of your YouTube description, add another call for action and the link to your squeeze page. For example: “Download your 100 free instrumentals here: [Insert link to squeeze page]”. So people who watch my videos will see the YouTube opt-in bribe, they’ll scroll down to click on the link in the description and then they’ll be taken to a simple squeeze page where they can opt-in. It’s as simple as that. For my music business I have over 300 videos online, all with an opt-in bribe. Every month I’m getting around 120’000 views on YouTube, so hundreds of thousands of people are seeing my opt-in bribe every month. This allows me to consistently build a huge list, without spending a single penny on advertisement. I’ve not seen anyone use this technique, not even renowned internet marketers.
YouTube still seems to be a book of seven seals for most marketers. Start to use this technique now. It will turn into one of your biggest assets in the future. Video has become the dominant format on the internet and it’s predicted that in 10 years time 80% of all content on the internet will be videos. So jump on the train before it’s too late. Right now, most marketers are still missing out on this great, free YouTube lead generation technique.
3) Include A “Subscribe Now” Annotation In Your Videos
Apart from the opt-in bribe, also include a little “Subscribe Now” annotation so people can subscribe to your YouTube channel. Since I’m using this in all my videos my monthly subscribers have gone from 200 to over 500. There’s enough space for all this stuff in your videos. All you have to do is start to harness the power of YouTube annotations. It’s so simple, I don’t understand why no one is using this. Annotations are like banners. YouTube allows you to put multiple free banners in front of all your visitors. This is like paradise for online marketers. So use my three YouTube secrets to skyrocket your opt-in’s and create a fully automated lead generation machine.
